A pull up banner is often the first thing people see at your stand, so it has about three seconds to tell them who you are and why they should stop. Here’s the standard size and the design tips that make a pull up banner work.

What size is a pull up banner?

The standard pull up banner is 850 mm wide × 2000 mm tall. Wider 1.2 m and 1.5 m versions are available for bigger stands. Ask us for the exact template before you design, because each system needs a little extra length at the bottom that rolls into the base.

Design tips that work

  • Logo and headline at eye level. The top third of the banner is what people see across a busy room. Put your logo and main message there.
  • One message. “Logo design from R1,500” works better than a list of ten services.
  • Big text. Headlines should be readable from 3 metres away. If in doubt, make it bigger.
  • Keep the bottom clear. The bottom 20 cm sits near the floor and is often hidden behind tables or people. Don’t put contact details there.
  • Strong contrast. Dark text on a light background (or the reverse) is easier to read than text over a busy photo.
  • Make contact easy. A website, WhatsApp number or QR code at chest height.

Standard or executive?

Our executive pull up banner costs R1,450 with the system and carry bag included. It’s sturdier and looks better at corporate events, and you can order a reprint for the same stand later.

Pull up banner, X-banner or fence banner?
