Banners are one of the cheapest ways to get noticed at an expo, a shop front, a school fun day or a construction site. But choosing the wrong type is a common and expensive mistake: an indoor banner left outside in Highveld wind won’t last a weekend. Here’s how the main options compare, so you can pick the right one first time.
Quick comparison
| Banner | Best for | Indoor or outdoor | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive pull up banner | Expos, receptions, launches, presentations | Indoor | R1,450 |
| X-banner (60 × 160 cm) | Budget events, shop counters, short campaigns | Indoor | R600 |
| Fence banner (PVC with eyelets) | Fences, building sites, sports fields, shop fronts | Outdoor | R350 |
| Correx board | Directional signs, estate and property boards, short-term outdoor signs | Outdoor | R350 |
Pull up banners: the professional all-rounder
A pull up banner rolls out of its base in seconds and packs into a carry bag, so one person can set it up anywhere. The print is held flat and tight, which looks polished behind a reception desk or at an expo stand. Our executive pull up banner includes the system, print and carry bag for R1,450, and you can reuse the stand for years.
Choose it if: you attend events often and want something that looks premium every time.
X-banners: the budget option
An X-banner is held by a light X-shaped frame behind the print. It’s cheaper and lighter than a pull up banner, and quick to assemble without tools. Our 60 × 160 cm X-banner costs R600 including the system and carry bag.
Choose it if: you need a banner for one event or a short promotion and want to keep costs down.
Fence banners: made for outdoors
Fence banners are printed on tough PVC with eyelets so you can tie them to a fence, scaffold or wall. They handle sun, rain and wind far better than indoor banners.
- 100 × 130 cm: R350
- 200 × 130 cm: R550
- 300 × 130 cm: R750
Choose it if: your banner will live outside, such as at a school, sports club, building site or roadside shop.
Correx boards: rigid and cost-effective
Correx is a light, rigid, corrugated plastic board, printed directly in full colour. It’s great for directional arrows, “for sale” and show-day boards, and signs on stakes or poles. A2 costs R350, A1 R620 and A0 R1,150.
Tips for a banner that works
- Keep it short. People read a banner in about 3 seconds: logo, one line on what you do, and a phone number or website.
- Go big on contrast. Dark text on a light background (or the opposite) reads from far away.
- Put key info high up. The bottom of a standing banner is often hidden by tables and people.
- Use high-resolution artwork: a print-ready PDF at full size, or let our designers set it up for you.
